This research focuses on doctoral supervision: implemented supervision practices, supervisor-supervised relationship, positive and negative aspects, and needs. Our goal is to survey a large number of PhD candidate and supervisor to gather their feedback on doctoral supervision. This is an opportunity for you to share your thoughts on this matter.
The results will allow us to provide an overview of doctoral supervision, and in return, to provide useful resources for your daily work. A summary of the results will be available upon request.
A few details:
- Participation in this study is voluntary and completely anonymous.
- This questionnaire is intended for PhD candidates pursuing their doctoral training, regardless of their situation: with or without funding, at the beginning or end of thesis, etc.
- Completing this questionnaire will take less than 15 minutes.

This study is conducted by the Interdisciplinary Doctorate Laboratory, Adoc Talent Management, and the LIP/PC2S (Laboratoire Inter-Universitaire de Psychologie, Grenoble-Alpes University).
Data treatment: All your personal information will be anonymized and aggregated. It will only be processed by the researchers involved in conducting this study. The anonymized or aggregated data may be used in publications or scientific presentations. Your data will be stored on a secure server based in France in compliance with the GDPR until December 31, 2026. After this period, the data will be permanently archived on encrypted storage and can only be accessed for scientific purposes.
Consent and participation: the legal basis for processing your data is your informed consent. Your participation in the study is free and voluntary. You are free to withdraw or cease your participation in the study at any time and without any prejudice.
